      Dear Robert,

        I see you live in Nahant. I was brought up there and used to live with my grandfather,

    Andrew Robert Ridderstrom, who was a successful designer of shoe machinery.

    Look up his patents. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us but he inspired me

    and my brother, Henry Ellis, to study engineering. My brother is now retired but

    I am still teaching at Holyoke Community College in Holyoke, MA.

         My grandfather's former house in Nahant at 25 Baker Rd. is now on the market.
