This course will discuss the behavior of induction generators during faults at the collection point of the plant. The problems associated with faults such as rotor speed excursion, torque oscillations, and transient overcurrent will be presented. Techniques used to handle LVRT/FRT that maintain energy balance and support reactive power without damaging turbines will be discussed. Several case studies will be presented.
