Site evaluations at potential wind farm sites are essential for good estimates of annual wind speeds there. Preliminary wind data increases the profitability and reliability of the wind farm because it allows selecting a turbine technology that is best suited. Selecting these then allows finding a best layout. Ultimately, accuracy of the site evaluation can simplify asset management concerns.

So which evaluations are necessary?

In this webinar, Blaine Sundwall and Rick Miller, both of EDF Renewable Energy discuss the impact of site evaluations on the development and asset management of a wind farm.
