Konferenz zum Thema Wind Resource Assessment für Offshore und Onshore Wind Projekte. Konferenzsprache ist Englisch.

Knowledge of the wind is important for each and every stage of the development of a wind farm, from initial site selection right through to operation.

Accurate and reliable estimate of the resultingenergy production from a wind farm that might be built there is vital. This requires wind farm modelling and detailed investigation of the environmental and ownership constraints.
Meteorological station measurements, other weather-related recorded data or  numerical weather prediction models, such as those used by national weather services contribute to accuracy inwind speed-modelling

The commercial value of a wind farm development is therefore crucially dependent on the energy yield, which in turn is highly sensitive to the wind speed.  A change of wind speed of a few per cent thus makes an enormous difference in financial terms for both debt and equity.

IQPC invites you to this international conference that will provide you with information and case-studies on the following subjects:

•Improve the understanding of wakes inside and between wind farms and learn about long-term correlation applications to achieve efficient design and financial analysis of offshore wind projects

•Explore offshore meteorology for determination of external design conditions, resource assessment andshort-term forecasting for cost-efficiency of projects
•Discuss solutions in wind resource assessment to be ahead in current research trends

•Learn about state-of-the-art in flow models, including their performance in complex terrain such as cold climate and forests to ensure investor confidence
•Explore mesoscale modelling and remote sensing technologies for the effective evaluation of wind resource climatic variability
